What ports should I have open on my firewall to access the control panel and webmail features?
|
You should have the following ports open to use the control panel and/or webmail. Blocking these ports may cause page not found errors or refuse to allow authentication for access to a feature; 2082 (non SSL Cpanel port -- using http://) Note: Be sure you use your IP address in place of the domain, if your domain is not yet pointing to our services. Note: If you are behind a corporate firewall and need to access Cpanel or webmail on the default web port (80), you should look into CpanelProxy ( http://www.cpanelproxy.net ) for a solution. While we don't officially support this script, people have reported it solves their problems if they are behind a firewall that they don't control.
